Last night Toyah was on

13.20
Last night Toyah was on a live discussion programme on BBC Radio Scotland, so I went along as an interested minder.

Also last night: another guest arrived at Luvvie Chambers - Andy the producer of Picasso's many women. This has filled up the flat pretty well, so I went for my morning sit in the patisserie opposite. Toyah joined for light breakfast.

From this morning's reading and reflection: a deepening sense of the distinction between actions which generate repercussions; and actions which aim at getting results. Alternatively expressed: the difference between "existential" & "essential" strategies.

Something like:

Intentional actions generate repercussion (mastery);
Acts-of-which-we-are-aware aim at getting results (craft);
Basement activities have consequences (basement).

Toyah & I walked along the Water of Leith walkway and, very rarely between us, I expressed my view to her of how this operates.

23.45
A good afternoon computing & reflecting. Then, a walk to one of our favourite restaurants in the old town, then more walking. My legs were snapping like whipcords this evening, powering That Awful Fripp around the city.

Late-night computing most of this week.
